Blogs can be used for personal and professional purpose. Blogs help to enhance
opportunity to extend limits of our knowledge. It also gives information about
perfect post of blog. We should pay attention to some of the principles while
composing post. Post should be:
- Coherent
- Update regularly
-Do proofreading to avoid mistakes
-Invite guest on blog to broaden scope of
blog
-Grab attention by visual elements
While using multimedia in blog writer
should keep in mind that images, audio and video are linked with content.
Hyperlink shows that writer is using reference of other people. Eye catching
title grab attention of reader.
From last five to ten years it becomes
important part of online landscape. The first blog was Links.net created by Justin Hall in 1994, it referred as personal
homepage. The term “weblog” was coined
after 1997. Weblog was shortened to “blog” in 1999. Blogger was started by Evan
Williams and Meg Hourihan. In 1999 only 23 blogs were on internet whereas in
2006 there were 50 million blogs were created. Political blog were also
created. Version 1.o was introduced in
September 2001 and first video blogs started in 2003. Blogs reach mainstream in
January 2005 when 32 million Americans read Blog. Politicians and news organizations began to
use blog for reaching out to readers. In the end of 2010 152 million blogs were activated.
Microblog is also known as Tumblr. Twitter
is the example of microblogging. Here users
can adjust format of their post.
Posterous was launched in 2008
which allows user to set up a simple blog through email then submit it by email
or online editor.
Blog become communication tool. Quora provide valuable tools for bloggers
which enable people to know what people want to know about topic.

ReplyDeleteVery concise and lucidly written post. Easy to follow. However, the evolution of Blogging is not very clear and also Microblogging is not known as Tumblr but rather Tumblr is one of the microblogging sites. The future of Blog is not been discussed.
